Basic Court Etiquette
-
Good sportsmanship is the rule. It's only a game.
-
Do not argue line calls.
-
Acknowledge the other players when starting a new game. Introduce yourself and greet everyone with a friendly 'hello.'
-
Learn and understand the rules of the game. Ask if you need clarification.
-
During designated open play (mixed skill levels), players play with all skill levels—NO COMPLAINTS. If you are an experienced player, please be considerate towards less experienced people. Everyone was a beginner once.
-
Do not run onto other courts during play. If your ball rolls onto another court, yell "ball on" and wait to retrieve the ball. Play stops immediately if an errant ball rolls onto your court during a rally.
-
Court #8 can be used for drilling unless needed for mixed play.
-
Courts can not be used for private games during Club Play.
-
NEVER yell at, swear at, or use hostile or sarcastic language towards any player. Abusive or foul language will not be tolerated in the vicinity of the courts. We are all using this public park, and we must be respectful of others. Anyone violating these rules may be asked to leave, and their membership could be terminated.
-
Learn how to set up and take down nets, and please assist others as they do so. This responsibility belongs to all of us. Return balls and loaner paddles to the lockers when you are finished playing.
